Be More Colorful, through its immersive media division CareerViewXR, plays a key role in the XR for VR project at Bismarck State College by:

CareerViewXR specializes in filming real-world manufacturing environments and transforming them into virtual reality (VR) experiences. These immersive tours allow individuals with disabilities to explore high-wage manufacturing careers in North Dakota without needing to physically visit job sites.

Their work helps bridge the gap between vocational rehabilitation (VR) and competitive integrated employment (CIE) by:

· Empowering participants to visualize and understand manufacturing roles.
· Educating employers about the capabilities of the disability community.
· Promoting accessibility and inclusion in workforce development.
 


Impact Dakota plays a key role in the XR for VR project at Bismarck State College by connecting North Dakota’s manufacturing industry with inclusive workforce development efforts. As the state’s official Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), Impact Dakota ensures that XR career experiences align with real-world employer needs and promote access to high-wage manufacturing careers for individuals with disabilities.

Their work helps bridge the gap between industry and inclusion by:

· Strengthening connections between manufacturers and job seekers with disabilities.
· Promoting awareness of the value and capabilities of the disability workforce.
· Encouraging inclusive hiring and training practices across the manufacturing sector.
· Supporting alignment of XR experiences with current and emerging workforce needs.

 

ND Assistive contributes to the XR for VR project by ensuring accessibility through adaptive and assistive technology. As experts in creating technology-based solutions for individuals with disabilities, ND Assistive helps participants engage fully in immersive career exploration and training experiences within manufacturing environments.

Their work helps empower participants and promote inclusion by:

· Providing personalized assistive technology tools that remove barriers to learning and employment.
· Supporting the development of an assistive technology library and training modules.
· Demonstrating how adaptive technologies can enhance success in manufacturing careers.
· Creating accessible environments that enable individuals with disabilities to achieve competitive, integrated employment.

 

CAST.org plays a supporting partner role in the XR for VR grant at Bismarck State College. As part of a broader collaboration that includes both in-state and out-of-state organizations, CAST.org contributes its expertise in inclusive learning design and accessibility to help ensure that the XR for VR initiative effectively serves individuals with disabilities.
