CampusConnection Permission allows a student to obtain an electronic override within CampusConnection for a closed course or course in which requisites are not met.
1. The student must contact the instructor of the course in person or via their BSC email to request permission to add. Student email must include the following:
• Student Name
• Student Emplid (1234567)
• Subject/Catalog Number (Ex. ENGL 110)
• Class Number
• Credits (Ex. 3 credits)
• Semester (Ex. Fall 2014)
• One of the following reasons:
o Closed Course
o Requisites
2. If approved, the instructor assigns the permission electronically in Campus Connection, and notifies the student.
3. The student must register for the course in CampusConnection using the add class process.
Note: When completing the class search in CampusConnection remove the check mark from the "Show Open Classes Only" box.

Course Override Form allows a student to request an override in person.
2. Secure instructors approval on the Course Override Form.
3. Submit form to the Academic Records Office (Schafer Hall - 1st floor) for processing in Campus Connection.
Note: Override requests are valid for 3 business days based on the date of the instructor's signature.

Course Override via email allows a student to request a Course Override via their BSC email.
1. The student must contact the instructor of the course via their BSC email to request a course add. Student email must include the following:
• Student Name • Student Emplid (1234567)
• Subject/Catalog Number (Ex. ENGL 110)
• Class Number (Ex. 18653)
• Credits (Ex. 3 credits)
• Semester (Ex. Fall 2014)
• One of the following reasons:
o Audit
o Closed Course
o Time Conflict
o Requisites
o Petition for additional course load
2. If instructor approves, the email will be forwarded to the Academic Records Office ( bsc.records@bismarckstate.edu) for processing in Campus Connection.
3. Registration confirmation will be sent to the student and instructor.
Note: Override requests are valid for 3 business days based on the date of the instructor's signature.
