Make-Up Testing

Instructions for Students

Testing Services can serve as a proctor for any student who is unable to test in the classroom because of an accident, illness, or other excused absence from class. Students must have their instructor's permission before scheduling an appointment.

Testing Services does not:
  • Proctor exams for an entire class
  • Proctor exams for students requesting a private quiet room but are not approved for accommodations
  • Proctor exams for students who do not provide a valid picture ID (student ID or driver's license)
Tests can be scheduled Monday thru Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Note: Exams must be completed by 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 12 p.m. on Fridays. Hours are subject to change.

  • Fill out the Make-Up Request Form below, which will be electronically sent to Testing Services.
  • Email electronic exam(s) or deliver paper tests to Testing Services at least one day prior to testing.

Scheduling of the exam is the responsibility of the student.
  • Students are encouraged to schedule appointments online (located at the top of this page) or by visiting bismarckstate.edu/testing
  • Appointments must be scheduled a day in advance (during business hours)
  • Make-up testing appointments are available starting at 8:30 a.m.
  • Exams must be completed by 4:00 p.m. 
  • Photo ID is required at every appointment
