The AFCEA Educational Foundation has six general categories of scholarships available for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled and attending full time at four-year colleges or universities in the United States. High school students are not eligible to apply.
AfterCollege/AACN Scholarship Fund
The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each quarter. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program. Scholarship deadlines are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 1.
American Chemistry Society Scholarship
ACS sponsors scholarship programs for qualified applicants who want to enter the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology and teaching. The programs aim is to encourage diversity among applicants and build awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in science and technology.
American Water Works Association AWWA Scholarship
Awarding $500 for Water Operator training and education. Each recipient will receive a one-year AWWA Operator membership.
American Welding Society Foundation Scholarship
The AWS Foundation is dedicated to meeting the needs for education and research in the field of welding and related joining technologies.
Asure Software International Scholarship Program
Asure Software will select and award each winner a $2,500 scholarship. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college located anywhere in the world. Deadline to apply is 12:00 a.m. EST October 1 for the spring semester and June 1 for the fall semester.
CastleBranch - GNSA Nursing Scholarship
Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each semester. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate nursing program at an AACN member school of nursing and must be a GNSA member. This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession. Deadline to apply is September 30 and December 30.
CAWS ND – Women’s Opportunity Scholarship Fund
The Women’s Opportunity Scholarship Fund provides higher education opportunities to low-income women who wish to enter, or are currently attending, a North Dakota college, university, or trade school. The fund assists scholarship recipients in a number of ways. It helps them to break the bonds of poverty and enhance their lives and the lives of their families intellectually, culturally and environmentally. Deadline: June 15, 2019

Dakota Indian Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship program is established for the further educational advancement of aspiring Native American students with priority given to those of Sioux heritage. Deadline to apply is August 1 for the fall semester and January 15 for the spring semester.

Geraldine "Polly" Bednash Nursing Scholarship
Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to top nursing school applicants. Applicants must be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution affiliated with CastleBranch. Deadline to apply is January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31.
GMR Web Team Scholarship Program
GMR Web Team will be funding a $500 academic scholarship per semester. Deadline to apply is January 3 and July 30.

Established by the Will of Helen Bergstrom Ernst to further the education of students who are members of The Spirit Lake Tribe. Helen was born and raised in St. Paul, MN but became fascinated with the Lake Region when her brother Arthur Bergstrom moved to Devils Lake, ND in 1919 and founded Lake Chevrolet in 1923. When Helen came to visit her brother, she developed a deep and abiding love for the people of the Lake Region and especially for the members of the Spirit Lake Tribe. She admired the spirit of the people. As a result of her love, this scholarship trust was established. Deadline: September 27, 2019
Horatio Alger Association – Career & Technical Scholarship
The Career & Technical Scholarship Program is funded through the Horatio Alger Endowment Fund and the generosity of Association Chairman Emeritus and Endowment Fund President Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States. Indian Health Service Scholarships
Three scholarships will be awarded to American Indian or Alaska Native students in order to educate and train health professionals to staff Indian health programs.
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The scholarship foundation awards scholarships to active duty or reserve U.S. Marine or children of active duty or reserve U.S. Marine. Students who already have their first undergraduate degree, or are pursuing their second bachelor's degree, or attending graduate school of any kind, or attending Federal Reserve Academics are not eligible.
Minnesota Builders Exchange Scholarship
With the help of our donating partner, The Builders Group (TBG) Education Foundation, the MBEX Scholarship Fund awards scholarships annually to college and technical school students in construction-related fields. For over 15 years, our scholarships have provided students in the construction industry with awards funded directly by member company donations. Awards are based in part on merit, defined by the committee to include academic achievements as well as a range of other personal accomplishments and experiences. Deadline: May 31, 2009
NDACo College Scholarship Fund
The NDACo scholarship program was created in 1998 to assist county families afford college. Children and grandchildren of county officials and employees are eligible to apply. ND Dollars for Scholars
The vision of North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is to encourage postsecondary education attendance for all North Dakota students. North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is a statewide chapter providing scholarships to students from Dollars for Scholars communities. Each year the organization strives to award over $100,000 to deserving students.
ND Indian Education Association Scholarship
The North Dakota Indian Education Association will be awarding four scholarships to promising college students. Student must be an enrolled member of a North Dakota tribe and must be enrolled as a full time student for the current school year in an accredited institution of higher learning or vocational school in North Dakota. Deadline to apply is the end of the second week of October.
ND Petroleum Council Scholarship
The Al Golden Memorial Scholarship Fund, named after North Dakota oil pioneer and the first member of the North Dakota Petroleum Council’s Hall of Fame Al Golden, was established in 2008 to support students who are pursuing post-secondary education in geology, engineering, processing plant technology, science, technical skills or other careers related to the oil and gas industry. The scholarships are part of the oil and gas industry’s efforts to help solve growing workforce demands in North Dakota. The North Dakota Petroleum Foundation awards nine $2,000 scholarships in each school year. Recipients receive $1,000.00 for the fall semester and $1,000.00 for the spring semester. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing Geraldine "Polly" Bednash Scholarship

Varsity Tutors Scholarship
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt.
Veteran Volunteer Scholarship
One outstanding applicant will receive the top scholarship of $20,000 to help fund their education. Additional scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $15,000, $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000. The scholarship is open to volunteers age 21 or younger who have contributed a minimum of 100 hours credited through DAV or DAV Auxiliary.
