Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Drone Waiver

Pursuant to SBHE Policy 820, BSC may offer a waiver towards course tuition at BSC to students meeting eligibility requirements.
Waiver Details:
- $500 award upon enrollment in all three UAS for Spring 2025 session.
- The waiver applies to tuition only. Tuition waivers do not include mandatory fees, class fees, books, board, room, insurance, taxes, or any other costs.
- Waiver applications do not guarantee a waiver, and available waiver amounts are limited. Therefore, applications will be reviewed along with all eligibility requirements and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for students who meet the waiver criteria.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be enrolled in an AEAT UAS CoC Program.
- Student must be registered for a minimum of 8 credits in the UAS Program.
- Student must stay enrolled in all three CoC program courses. If the student drops any of the three CoC courses, they will lose the waiver.
- United States citizen or permanent resident
- Submit waiver application by deadline of January 13, 2025.
Application Process:
- Student must meet all BSC admission requirements and be accepted for enrollment during the upcoming semester.
- BSC Assistant Dean and Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will review all applications received by January 13, 2025.
- BSC Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will notify qualifying students of award.
Selection and Awarding Process:
- Assistant Dean and Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will select applicants based on eligibility criteria.
- Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies will notify Student Finance to apply waivers.
Withdraws/Revocation:
Students who withdraw will be subject to the refund policy consistent with NDUS policy 830.2 and will be responsible for any outstanding balance on their student account.
Monitoring:
Renewal/Continuation of the waiver program will be at the discretion of the Executive VP.
