Bismarck State College hosts a third exhibition of all-media work by Century High School art students through Feb. 13.

Reception for the students in grades nine through 12 is scheduled Thursday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the BSC Library's Gannon Gallery.

Approximately 147 pieces of artwork have been selected by juror Jenna Jacobson, an art instructor at Century High School (CHS) and a BSC alumna. The exhibit displays several skill levels in such media as acrylic painting, charcoal, pencil, colored pencil, clay, scratch art, mixed media, and foam and book sculptures used in the student art courses.

CHS art instructors Laurie Foerderer and Brad Lies helped Jacobson and Andrea Fagerstrom, BSC gallery coordinator and art lecturer, organize the exhibit.

Fagerstrom said the show gives students the chance to meet and talk with BSC's visual art faculty and learn about visual art opportunities at the college.
