Paramedic program receives accreditation

The Paramedic program at Bismarck State College has received continuing accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
Approval took place Jan. 21, when BSC was cited for the program’s “substantial compliance” with the nationally established accreditation standards.
BSC received continuing status in a peer review conducted by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions and the commission’s board of directors.
The commission also commended BSC administrators and program coordinators for their commitment to continuous quality improvement in education.
The next comprehensive evaluation and on-site review is scheduled no later than 2021.
