BSC President’s Run set for July 8

Bismarck State College holds its ninth annual President’s Run Friday, July 8, to raise money for the J. Michael McCormack scholarship fund held by the BSC Foundation.
Motorcycle and car enthusiasts are welcome to join BSC President Larry C. Skogen and friends, colleagues and students of Mike McCormack for the run to North Dakota’s iconic Enchanted Highway near Regent, N.D. Lunch at Regent Park will be provided by Larry Rolfson and BlackRidgeBANK. A tour of the Enchanted Castle will follow lunch.
Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. with departure at 10 a.m. from the BSC Jack Science Center parking lot. A $100 donation per vehicle is requested.
J. Michael McCormack, longtime professor of history and campus and community raconteur, retired this spring after 50 years in the classroom. With his witty, rigorous teaching style, he made himself memorable to countless students. An Alumnus of the Year and Faculty Excellence Awardee, McCormack is well known for his high profile work in the Bismarck-Mandan community, and professional activities.
