Substation Electrician
The Substation Electrician Apprenticeship Program prepares employees to work with the necessary expertise in substation apparatus maintenance procedures. This includes testing, adjusting, modifying and repairing substation buswork, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, transformers, reactors, battery banks, grounding systems and operating air compressors. Substation Electrician Apprentices will learn the mathematic calculations of basic electrical relationships that are applicable to accomplish their assigned duties.
