Careers in Energy Week
Published: Sep 10 2015
The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) and member companies began working together to create a Careers in Energy Week in 2010. The purpose is to increase the public's awareness about energy careers through a concerted nationwide effort. This year's Careers in Energy Week will be October 12-18.
As part of Careers in Energy Week, Bismarck State College's National Energy Center of Excellence is inviting energy companies to come to campus and present to students about career opportunities available to them in the industry. This will include full-time employment opportunities, temporary work assignments and internships. Companies will be able to give 15 minute presentations to all energy students at Bismarck State College.
Presentation space will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Four select times will be reserved for companies providing a $500 sponsorship. Three premier spots are still available. Energy companies will also be able to set up informational booths in the Bavendick Stateroom in the NECE.
The NECE will also be providing opportunities for energy students to be part of mock interviews and have their cover letter and resume reviewed by professionals from the energy industry.
