This seminar is designed for both middle and high school teachers. Middle school teachers will spend time on two new content titles - STEM EDA's Egg Drop and Aerospace. They will also spend time exploring code for middle school students using the micro:bit platform. Teachers will work with a combination of both text-based and visual programming languages so that they can begin to understand what options are available to their students as they begin to incorporate coding in the core subject areas.
In addition to receiving their own bot to assemble and work with, high school teachers will continue their exploration into the microcontroller platform and will begin to work through more complex builds that incorporate a combination of tactile and infrared sensors as well as a deeper dive into the humanities that are at play in the world of privacy vs security and artificial language.
