ArtsQuest at Bismarck State College wraps up with the signature raku firing for students and the community, a student graphic design show and the Campus Arts Crawl.
 
The outdoor pottery firing encompasses three days from April 30 to May 2 west of Skogen Hall, weather permitting. Viewing and participation hours are 1-5 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
 
As part of the week’s events, the BSC Graphic Design & Communications program hosts its spring show of student work May 1-3 in the BSC Student Union. The display can be viewed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
 
On Wednesday, May 3, BSC hosts its annual Campus Arts Crawl from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on central campus. All events are free and open to the public.
 
10 a.m.-noon – Graphic Design sophomore portfolio exhibition, Student Union Alumni Room
10 a.m.-3 p.m. – Chalk art with artist Melissa Gordon, courtyard behind Skogen Hall
11 a.m.-2 p.m. – Tie-dye activity, courtyard behind Skogen Hall
11 a.m.-3 p.m. – Chemistry in Art display and sun print activity, Skogen Hall Rm 221
11 a.m.-3 p.m. –  Student art and pottery sale, Skogen Hall, second floor hallway and Rm 221
11:30 a.m. – Free lunch sponsored by Gate City Bank, Student Union outdoor patio
Noon-1 p.m. – Readings from Figments of Imagination literary journal, Skogen Hall, first floor
 
The BSC Departments of Language, Literature & Communication and Fine Arts & Humanities present ArtsQuest 2017, a month-long celebration of music, art, theater, literature and film. ArtsQuest highlights the talent of BSC students and brings guest artists to campus.
