ArtsQuest at Bismarck State College wraps up with the signature raku firing for students and the community and the Campus Arts Crawl.
 
The outdoor pottery firing encompasses three days from May 1-3 west of LEA Hall, weather permitting. Viewing and participation hours are 1-5 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
 
As part of the week’s events, the BSC Graphic Design & Communications program hosts its spring show of student work May 2-4 in the Student Union after many years at Kirkwood Mall. The display can be viewed during Student Union hours.
 
On Wednesday, May 4, BSC hosts its fifth annual Campus Arts Crawl from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. on central campus. All events are free and open to the public.
 
10 a.m.-noon – Graphic design sophomore portfolio show, Student Union Prairie Room
11 a.m.-2 p.m. – Tie-dye activity, circle courtyard, weather permitting
11 a.m.-3 p.m. – Chemistry in Art display, sun print activity, and student art and pottery sale, LEA Hall second floor and Room 221
11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. – BSC Alumni Association activity, circle courtyard
Noon to 1 p.m. – Student readings from Figments of Imagination literary journal, LEA Hall, first floor.
 
ArtsQuest began in 1998 as a project of the Arts and Communication Department to highlight the talent of BSC students and bring performances and presentations by guest artists to campus. For more information, visit bismarckstate.edu/artsquest.
