BSC hosts choir festival and Saturday concert

Bismarck State College hosts select singers from around the state for the first annual Class B @ BSC! event Friday and Saturday, Jan. 29-30.
About 75 junior and senior high school students from class B schools will be on campus for the music education festival. A public concert is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.
BSC Choral Director Andrew Miller has arranged for guest conductors to lead two honor choirs plus performances by BSC choirs and vocal ensembles and the professional vocal group, Inspiraré.
Conway Heupel of New England public schools conducts the High School Honor Choir. Heidi Olson of Harvey public schools directs the Junior High Honor Choir. The program also includes a performance by the Hettinger Junior High Choir conducted by Gina Joyce.
Tickets are $7 general admission at the door and $5 for students, seniors and parents of performing students.
