Bismarck State College holds an energy open house Tuesday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Energy Center of Excellence on campus. The event offers prospective students and those interested in the energy industry a chance to learn about the training and education BSC offers.

Guests can tour the facility, visit with faculty, learn about what life would be like as an energy student, and apply for summer and fall classes. Classrooms and lab equipment used for the many energy-related degree and certificate programs will be open for viewing.

Staff from BSC’s admissions and financial aid departments, course advisors, and representatives from several energy companies will be present to talk with those interested.

Attendees also have the chance to win one of two $500 BSC scholarships. Registration for the scholarship and sign up for tours is available at bismarckstate.edu/energy/nece/openhouse.

Energy has been a major industry in North Dakota for decades and will continue to be a prominent employer for years to come. Energy companies offer excellent job opportunities and high-paying careers and are looking for qualified men and women to fill vacancies. Bismarck State College offers students the chance to enter those careers in two years or less.
