Colorado will likely keep its spot as the No. 2 state for wind jobs as analysts predict a 54.7 percent growth in the business sector here during the next four years.

The state is expected to reach 22,900 wind jobs by the end of 2020, up from its current 14,800, according to a report released Thursday by Navigant for the American Wind Energy Association.

The growth tracks national predictions, which expect the wind industry to reach 248,000 jobs in 2020. The report predicts a large employment jump; wind enthusiasts recently celebrated the industry reaching 100,000 jobs for the first time in 2016.
