Bismarck State College ArtsQuest presents its first event featuring guest artists during BSC's month-long celebration of the arts through early May.

ArtsQuest has programmed laughter with "Standing Womb Only!" - a hilarious evening of original stand-up and sketch comedy delivered by Montana theater professionals Teresa Waldorf and Rosie Seitz Ayers. The free show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.

Both women are affiliated with the University of Montana in Missoula and also work independently in a wide range of theater projects. They came together as partners in comedy several years ago to write, produce, direct, construct and promote their own shows, which they perform regionally.

Their material includes ponderings on how to work your assets off, become a cougar, and raise humans that smell bad. Highlight of the show is watching them transform into the Home Shopping Network gurus, Lulinda Smith and Lucinda Lith, selling a variety of products from Stay-in-Shape Tape and Pee-Pee Tongs to the Buc Buc Bra and Grill.

As University of Montana graduates, a lot of their work intersects there. Waldorf is adjunct assistant professor in the university's School of Theatre and Dance. Seitz Ayers teaches for U-M's Bravo after school theater program for kids and Waldorf's summer theater camp. She was also assistant director for "Evita" at U-M. Both are involved in the Montana Repertory Theatre, a professional theater company in residence at the university's performing arts school. Waldorf is educational outreach coordinator for the repertory, where she and Seitz Ayers occasionally direct.

Waldorf is an independent producer and director of several local productions. Seitz Ayers has worked with Carroll College, The Montana Shakespeare Co., The Young Rep, Missoula Community Theater, Grandstreet Theatre, and other theater companies throughout Montana.

ArtsQuest began in 1998 as a project of the Arts and Communication Department to highlight the talent of BSC students and bring performances and presentations by guest artists to campus. For more information, visit bismarckstate.edu/artsquest.
