National Energy Center of Excellence to host open house

Published: Mar 02 2015
Bismarck State College will hold an open house at the National Energy Center of Excellence on Tuesday, March 24, from noon to 5 p.m. for prospective students and those interested in the energy industry to learn about the training and education the college offers.

The energy industry is expanding in North Dakota and across the United States.  Energy companies with excellent job opportunities and high-paying careers are looking for qualified men and women.  BSC offers students the chance to enter those careers in two years or less.

Attendees have the chance to win one of two $500 BSC scholarships. Those interested in attending and registering for the scholarship can visit bscenergy.com/openhouse.

Guests will be able to tour the facility, visit with faculty and learn about what life would be like as an energy student.  They can view the lab equipment and classrooms used for the 12 energy degree and certificate programs offered at BSC.

Representatives from the college's admissions and financial aid departments, course advisors, and representatives from several energy companies will be present to visit with those interested.

To learn more or to arrange an interview, contact Retha Mattern, NECE Business & Outreach Coordinator, at 701-224-2445 or retha.mattern@bismarckstate.edu.
