Published: Aug 31 2016
An art exhibit by Greg Walter titled “Missouri Valley Gold: Recent Landscape Paintings of the Missouri Valley River Watershed” is on display at Bismarck State College through Sept. 15 in the Gannon Gallery on the second floor of Skogen Hall.
The public is invited to a reception for the artist on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery.
Walter’s series of paintings explore the beauty and variety of the landscape found in the Missouri River Valley from Nebraska to North Dakota.
After earning his undergraduate art degree at University of Minnesota Mankato, Walter earned a Master’s in Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He has taught studio art and art history since 1998, and is currently an assistant professor of art at Dickinson State University.
