Bismarck State College holds its eighth annual President's Run Friday, July 10, to raise money for the Paul Swanson Scholarship fund held by the BSC Foundation.

Motorcycle and car enthusiasts are welcome to join BSC Interim President David Clark and friends, colleagues and students of Paul Swanson for the run to Beulah Bay. Participants eat lunch there and proceed to Beulah for a tour of the Coteau Freedom Mine, followed by ice cream at The Union Bank of Beulah.

Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. with departure at 10 a.m. from the BSC Jack Science Center parking lot. A $100 donation per vehicle is requested.

Swanson became the Mystics' head football coach in 1956. He also coached the men's basketball team from 1958-60 and was an assistant coach under Bruce Meland for 12 seasons. Swanson also coached Bismarck High School basketball, taking the team to Top 10 state competition six of his eight years there.
