BSC all-student cast brings comedy to the stage, Dec. 12-15
Bismarck State College Theatre presents “All in the Timing” Dec. 12-15 under the direction of BSC alum Erin J. Weichel. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.

Featuring six diverse but equally hysterical one-act comedies, David Ives’ “All in the Timing” is a witty, romantic, absurd and existentially-minded evening of theatre. Winner of the John Gassner Playwriting Award, this critically acclaimed, award-winning collection of comedies combines wit, intellect, satire and just plain fun.

“I see this as an experiment in comedy. Throughout the production, we transition from situations everyone has been in, like meeting a new person and struggling to find the right words, to surreal situations like watching monkeys try to recreate Hamlet,” says Weichel. “As an audience member I hope you laugh and grow with this show. I hope you see parts of yourself and your life on the stage. But most of all, I hope you laugh. I hope you laugh so hard it hurts a little.”

“All in the Timing” cast members are BSC students Andrea Fredrickson, William Ring, Alyssa Lechler, Matt Masse, Drew Pengilly, Isaac Fettig and Trey Zent (all of Bismarck), Kennedy Sundsbak (Hazen) and Alisha Letzring (New Salem).

This play is produced by BSC Assistant Professor of Theatre Dr. Danny Devlin. Dean Bellin, assistant professor of theatre, is the show’s scenic/lighting designer as well as the technical director. Stage manager Grace Derby (Bismarck), light board operator Shaylyn Lefor (Gladstone), sound designer Naomi Chaffee (Bismarck) and sound board operator Jackson Hellman (Rockford, Minn.) round out the crew.
