Since 1998, Dickinson State University students in an array of programs have been able to attend their DSU classes on the BSC campus. And BSC graduates earning a four year degree in a DSU program have been able to easily transfer on while staying put.

With 17 programs available and 167 DSU students on the BSC campus this fall, the two N.D. University System colleges recently solidified some of the assumptions of their relationship to ensure that the students’ experience is seamless.

A newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlines the many benefits of this collaboration, including access to tutoring, counseling and testing services for DSU students. Additionally, DSU students on the BSC campus can join BSC’s clubs and organizations and attend BSC athletic events for free.

“The goal is to ensure that these students are academically successful, and enjoy a memorable college experience,” says Mitzel. “We are part of a single university system, and this collaboration – from the admissions process to the campus experience – exemplifies that.”

“Our DSU partnership, like our relationships with Minot State, University of Mary and others, is all about the students. They are why we do what we do,” says Skogen.

DSU programs on the BSC campus include elementary education, computer science, accounting, and more. Learn more at bismarckstate.edu or dickinsonstate.edu
