Three Bismarck State College students in the Graphic Design and Communications program won awards at the 2015 North Dakota Advertising Federation Awards Feb. 27 in Fargo.

Danielle Schwartz (Bismarck) won a Silver ADDY award in the color photo category. Kaleb Edmonson (New Rockford) received a Silver award in advertising logo, and Emily Johannes (Underwood) earned a Gold award for poster design. All are in their sophomore year.

BSC students competed with students from two-and four-year colleges and universities across North Dakota and western Minnesota.

The American Advertising Federation is a national advertising trade organization that represents all facets of the advertising industry. Its annual ADDY Awards program honors excellence in advertising and cultivates the highest creative standards.

AAF-North Dakota is one of 210 local affiliates of the AAF and a member of the 8th District (clubs from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin). The AAF-ND Gold ADDY winners proceed to the 8th District competition. District Gold winners there advance to the national finals.
