Water Survival Training is being offered by the Military Science program at Bismarck State College Monday, Nov. 23, at the BSC Aquatic and Wellness Center on campus.

Open to all students and the public between noon and 2 p.m., the training taught by instructor Robert Meland is similar to what is provided to members of the armed forces.

Participants must be 18 or have a signed waiver from a parent or guardian and be able to swim moderately well. Swimsuit and towel are required. No pre-registration is necessary.

The program includes how to survive a stressful water situation, turn pants into a life jacket, keep gear afloat and more. Each participant receives a certificate of completion.

For more information, email Robert.Meland@bismarckstate.edu or call 701-400-0079.
