Bismarck State College was selected as a top school for best practices in military and veteran education by the Military Advanced Education and Transition journal of higher education.

The recognition appears in the December issue of the journal’s 2016 Guide to Colleges & Universities and can be viewed online at http://www.mae-kmi.com/.

The Military Advanced Education & Transition journal assists active service members and veterans transition from military to civilian life. It acts as a resource for finding a school that best fits their educational plans.

This year, two-year and four-year colleges were evaluated on their military culture, financial aid, flexibility, and general, on-campus and online support services. The guide lists answers from more than 600 institutions about military-supportive policies. Students can access all survey results.

BSC has an extended record of excellence, receiving the journal’s top school recognition for years 2010 to 2014. BSC also was designated a 2015 military friendly school by G.I. Jobs magazine.
