Bismarck State College has shown that it can compete with the big dogs when it comes to its marketing efforts.

BSC landed in the winner’s circle in four categories of the 32nd Annual Educational Advertising Awards, a national contest sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. BSC earned Silver Awards in the External Publication category for BSC Magazine and in the Annual Report category for BSC 2016 Community Report. They also earned Silver Awards in the TV Single category for the BSC Doors television campaign and in the Website category for the BSC website (bismarckstate.edu), both collaboration projects with Odney Advertising. The entries were submitted by the BSC College Relations team which includes Marnie Piehl, Kelsey Dahl, Juanita Lee, Lacey Lange and Caitlin Magilke.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest, oldest and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,250 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries including Auburn, Loyola, Michigan State, Rice, and Southern Illinois University.

Earlier this year BSC also received a Gold Medallion of Excellence for the BSC website and a Silver Medallion of Excellence for BSC Magazine from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations, a national organization of marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. NCMPR has more than 1,550 members from more than 650 colleges across the United States, Canada and other countries.
