Kevin Locke performs at BSC for American Indian Heritage Month

Kevin Locke is known throughout the world as a visionary Hoop dancer, the preeminent player of the indigenous Northern Plains flute, a traditional storyteller, cultural ambassador, recording artist and educator.
He will perform in two free admission presentations at noon and 4 p.m. on Nov. 8 in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium at Bismarck State College.
The events are sponsored by BSC Embracing Diversity team in celebration of National American Indian Heritage Month in November.
With nearly 40 years of performing to hundreds of thousands of people in more than 90 countries, Locke’s concerts and presentations at performing art centers, festivals, schools, universities, conferences, state and national parks, monuments and historic sites, powwows and reservations number in the hundreds annually.
The majority of Locke’s presentations are performed through the educational system and shared with children of all ages in schools, community centers and festivals internationally. As a folk artist, he uses his talents to teach others about his specific tribal background.
