Annie Paulson, associate professor of nursing with the Dakota Nursing Program-Bismarck State College, received the 2016 ND Center for Nursing Legendary Nurse Award in the Faculty Achievement category from the North Dakota Center for Nursing.

Paulson has been at BSC for nine years, and worked as an acute care nurse prior to that. Honored for her work with students, fellow faculty and patients, Paulson said she appreciated that the recognition came from her peers.

“This organization celebrates nurses in every category, and I am proud to work with other great nursing instructors to teach students,” she said.

The North Dakota Center for Nursing represents the profession in North Dakota, providing education, recognition and support for nurses across the state.

The Dakota Nursing Program is a partnership of four North Dakota community college nursing departments with a shared curriculum taught on all four consortium campuses. The partners include Bismarck State College, Dakota College at Bottineau, Lake Region State College, and Williston State College.
