ADA Compliance

Bismarck State College is committed to accommodating the needs of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Alcoholic Beverages

Bismarck State College houses its own Vendor, with the first right of refusal on all events. No alcohol outside permitted. All Alcohol sales must be approved ahead of time with permits.
 

Animals

Certified service animals are welcome; however, they must remain on a leash or in a harness. The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. All other animals are strictly prohibited unless prior approval is granted. Discuss with your Event Manager any exhibitors or presenters who may wish to have an animal at your event to ensure all protocols are met.

ATM

There is an ATM located in the 3rd floor foyer in the NECE building.
 

Audio/Visual Equipment

Bismarck State College houses a variety of audio-visual equipment available for rent to meet your event’s needs. Any equipment provided through the venue will be set up and operated by stagehand labor scheduled through your Event Manager. Contact your Event Coordinator about the current inventory as well as about estimated rental and labor costs. BSC has the first right of refusal on all A/V needs.

Catering/Food & Beverage

Bismarck State College houses its own catering team with the first right of refusal to serve your event.  

Changeovers Combine with Cleaning Services

Your initial table and chair set-up is provided at no charge. This includes all your non-exhibit areas (meeting rooms, offices, general sessions, meal functions, etc.). Labor costs may be incurred for changes to room setups. Contact your Event Coordinator for current changeover rates.

Cleaning Services

There is a charge for BSC Custodial staff that will handle the cleaning of the venue on completion of your event. Booth cleaning is generally the responsibility of the show decorator.

Decorations

All decorations must have prior approval from your Event Coordinator. Adhesives that are proven to be non-damaging and approved by Bismarck State College may be allowed.

Elevators

Each event space is accessible via passenger elevator. Your Event Coordinator can provide directions to each for loading and attendee use.

Equipment Rental & Room Configurations

Bismarck State College houses a wide variety of equipment that is available for rent. Please contact an Event Coordinator for details on equipment inventory, rates and availability.

First Aid

First aid kits and AEDs are located on each floor in the ATC & NECE buildings.

Glitter/Confetti

Use of any glitter/confetti must be approved through your Event Coordinator prior to your event. Bismarck State College may restrict the use of certain materials or spaces allowed for such décor.

IT Services

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue. Talk to your Event Coordinator about any additional phone or data services your event may need.

Keys/Room Security

Specific rooms may be able to be secured to limit those who may have access to them during your event. Your Event Coordinator will have keys so your staff will have access as needed.

Loading Dock

There is a bay in the ATC that may be used as a loading dock. Talk with your Event Coordinator to learn further about its availability and usage.

Lost Items

Lost an item? We want to help you find it. During events, lost and found items are turned into the front desk. To inquire about a lost item after an event, please check with the front desk at the building you lost your item in.

Nursing Mothers

Our venues are equipped with one permanent nursing mother’s rooms. This is a secure room located on the 2nd floor in the ATC just outside the entrance to the East Flex Lab. (123MA)

Permit To Carry & Weapons

Bismarck State College enforces a strict no weapons policy that includes firearms, regardless of a permit to carry.  

Police/Security Staffing

Bismarck State College houses its own campus police office and retains the first right of refusal if deemed necessary at your event.  

Smoking/Vaping

Bismarck State College enforces a strict 0 TOLERANCE policy on indoor smoking of any kind.

Wheelchairs & Motorized Scooters

A limited number of wheelchairs are available to be checked out on a first come, first serve basis. Wheelchairs are to be used onsite and are not permitted to leave the property. Bismarck State College does not provide motorized scooters. There is also a lift located on the 4th floor of the NECE.

Wi-Fi/Internet

Bismarck State College has free, venue-wide Wi-Fi available for all events. Guests can easily connect to the Wi-Fi network by selecting “BSC Guest” from among the connection options appearing on their device. Free Wi-Fi is recommended for casual browsing. We understand technology is an important part of events and want to help ensure your needs are met. Please discuss specific needs with your Event Coordinator who can explain additional internet services available as well as schedule IT support for your event.
