Textbook FAQ
Where do I purchase my books?
The Lineworker (Electrical) faculty chooses the specific book and edition to be used for your courses. Not all courses require books; those that do can be purchased at the BSC Bookstore in person or online.
Where do I get my book list?
Go to the
BSC Bookstore Shopbookstore website
, select
T
extbooks
, and then select
O
rder Textbooks
. For each course, select the appropriate section and instructor. The generated book list will show if a course does not require a book and purchase options for new or used books.
When do I purchase my books?
Textbook sales begin in August for the Fall semester and in December for the Spring semester. Purchase dates will vary depending on your choice of payment, such as paying with cash, check, or credit card or charging against financial aid or a third party. Review the
Academic Calendar
for specific dates.
Can I use Financial Aid to pay for my books?
Yes. Students in good standing and have completed a financial aid file can charge books against their excess financial aid. Excess financial aid is your total accepted financial aid less your student account balance, which includes tuition, fees, and housing charges.
