Bismarck State College (BSC) Theatre invites audiences to venture into a world of fairy tales, wishes and unexpected consequences with its upcoming production of “Into the Woods,” the Tony Award-winning musical featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine.

Bringing together beloved characters including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and the Baker and his Wife, “Into the Woods” explores what happens after “happily ever after” and reminds audiences that every wish comes with a price. Featuring memorable music, imaginative storytelling and the talents of BSC students, this production promises an entertaining and thought-provoking theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

Directed by BSC adjunct theatre instructor Daniel Welstad, “Into the Woods” features a 29-person cast, including BSC stage veterans Brittany Bearsheart, Max Wild, Peyton Schock, Emerson Lynn Eckert, Joseph Macdonald, Kaitlyn DelaBarre, Charles Ward, Benjamin Wolff, Kat Elrod, Shaina Hovrud, Margaret Brink, Schatzy Mosbrucker and Kara Milakovic, alongside talented newcomers Reese Dever, Ty Popiel, Rebecca Wilhelmi, Marisa Angermeier, Leah Costik, Braedon Ziegler, Jadon Banks, Chase Angermeier, Franklin Guevara, Lena Lucka, Anna Nachatilo, Jasper Funk, Harer Hanson, Jaelynn Mason, Brynnlee Burlack and Gracelynn Rose.

Evening performances are Friday, Nov. 6, Saturday, Nov. 7, Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. (CT). Matinee performances are on Sundays, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m. (CT). All performances are in BSC’s state-of-the-art Live Event Venue inside the BSC Advanced Technology Center, 1220 Schafer St., on the BSC campus.

An opening night reception will be held Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the BSC Advanced Technology Center, featuring hors d’oeuvres, a pre-show reveal of some of the amazing BSC Theatre behind-the-scenes work, and a cash bar for guests age 21 and older.

Tickets for “Into the Woods” are available at bsctheatre.com or by calling (701) 224-5511. Advanced tickets are $15 online and $18 at the door. Tickets are $5 for BSC students, $12 for BSC faculty and staff and $10 for non-BSC students.
