Challenge Examination

Students may demonstrate college-level competency and earn college credit by successfully passing an institutional challenge examination. These comprehensive examinations cover the material normally taught in a semester-long course.

Students should first review the BSC Credit by Exam chart for available examination options and corresponding BSC course equivalents.

If a course is not listed on the chart, students interested in earning credit for that course should contact the PLA Office at bsc.priorlearning@bismarckstate.edu to inquire whether an institutional challenge examination may be available.
