Description

This certificate will cover biology, chemistry, and biotechnology as a foundation for students who are interested in the sciences and/or medical field. It may be completed independently or alongside the Liberal Arts transfer AS Biology pathway.

Preparation

Students interested in biology, microbiology, and chemistry should build on a foundation of these core classes. Students should be comfortable with hands-on techniques and protocols with science courses. This certificate will allow students to gain foundational courses to continue with their academic career.

Requirements

Students who complete the curriculum requirements receive a Program Certificate in Biotechnology.

Career possibilities: Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Technician, and Biological Technician
