Prior to 2026-2027, this program was listed in the catalog as "Management Entrepreneurship". The degree awarded was "Management Management Entrepreneurship".

Description

Students in BSC’s Entrepreneurship program will obtain the skills, tools, and experiences necessary to assist in the creation and management of a new business venture. The backbone of this curriculum focuses on satisfactorily completing a business plan and financial analysis. Study involves a combination of general education, business, and marketing coursework.

Preparation

Students with a high school background in economics, accounting, communications, and marketing are well prepared. Many students are successful without having taken this concentration of classes.

Requirements

Students who complete the required coursework will earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in Entrepreneurship.

Career Opportunities

The goal of this curriculum is to provide an experience that creates insight into establishment of private businesses. It also gives students the skill to manage an existing business.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon graduation, Entrepreneurship students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate life-long learning skills through active and collaborative learning, will gain experience in thinking critically and will gain an appreciation for continuing their education in formal and informal settings.
  • Build a basic foundation of business principles.
  • Develop strong analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
